A little about Mary Mehan...

Background Info

I started my home day care business in 1988, and received my license the following year. I hold certificates in First Aid, CPR, Special Care Series, and the Applebaum Training Institute. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology that includes courses in Early Childhood Development, Educational Psychology, Exceptional Child, and Human Development. Some of my credit hours are in experiential learning for my years as a home day care provider. My day care is contracted with The Child and Adult Care Food Program through the USDA, and I receive 15 hours of continued education each year. I believe my job is to guide and enhance the daily lives of the children I interact with.
